About Me
I'm a self-taught web developer based in England who'd rather build than watch another tutorial. I love the full process of building starting with just a few lines of code and ending with something I'm genuinely proud of, whether that's a clean UI, a smooth interaction, or a site that just works. Currently looking for my first junior role where I can contribute to real projects and keep getting better. I don't just love building things, but breaking them too! Testing small edge cases, poking around just trying to find something I can break. Something I can fix.
Being a self-taught developer means I'm used to thinking outside the box. Testing things, seeing what works (and maybe what doesn't). What I love most about self-teaching is that I can focus on the projects I'm most interested in, building multiple projects each month. Deciding which skill I want to learn next, and knowing when I'm ready to move on.
Right now I'm looking for a team where I can contribute, keep improving, and build things that actually matter. My goal isn't just to land a job and coast, I want to grow into someone the team can rely on. The person who's always learning, whether that's a new framework, a better way to structure code, or simply understanding why something broke. I'm not chasing a title, I'm chasing the point where I'm genuinely valuable.
Outside of code, I've always been drawn to visual work. Photography has been a passion of mine for years, and it's shaped how I approach front end development. Framing a shot, getting the composition right, thinking what draws someone's eye - it all carries over to when I'm building a UI.
I notice the small things; spacing that feels off, colours that clash, layouts that don't flow. That visual instinct didn't come from tutorials, it came from years of looking through a lens. Trial and error, finding out what people love.
